Who I am

"Whoever is providing leadership needs to be as fresh and thoughtful and reflective as possible to make the very best fight."
~Faye Wattleton

Hi, my name is Jessica Roever.  I am a rising senior at Radford University studying marketing and management.  When I graduate, I would like to live in Richmond, VA New York City.  I am currently a member of the American Marketing Association as VP of Communications.  I am also taking many leadership positions at Radford as a peer instructor, community liaison, and tutor.  My friends and family consider me to be a hard-working, energetic, caring individual that doesn't give up easily.  When obstacles come in my way, I try to look at the different ways around them and keep my head up.
My Interests

"Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm"
~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Running - I've run in multiple races raising money for different causes, such as cancer; Scrapbooking - I love being able to use my creativity to show off my pictures; Traveling - I hope to one day back pack across Europe; My family and friends - without them I wouldn't be who I am today - they keep me going each and every day.
What I'm Looking For

"In every community there is work to be done.  In every nation, there are wounds to heal.  In every heart there is the power to do it."
~Marianne Williamson

I am looking for a job that gives back.  I believe in loving what you do to actually be able to do your best.  I've been blessed with so much throughout my life that I want to help those that haven't been so fortunate.  Whether it's a non-profit organization or a company that gives a lot of its time to community service, I want to be there to see the impact it will have.
I would also like to start my own business one day.  I have such a passion for children and I love shopping, so I want to open my own children's boutique within the next couple years.
